The White House Asks Americans to Rat Out Fellow Americans for Exercising "Fishy" Free Speech
Obama Nation has now set into official motion a program to turn Americans against Americans in an unprecedented peacetime request. Or is it peacetime? Is this the dawn of a new era in America?

Dear Friends,
Now that the White House is asking Americans to turn in other Americans who spread “fishy” disinformation, I am beginning to see further alienation between those who are exercising their right to free speech and those who object to what they hear. Not unlike the Nazi Youth movement that effectively turned children against parents, the developing “Big Brother” Obama Nation has now set into official motion a program to turn Americans against Americans in an unprecedented peacetime request. Or is it peacetime? Is this the dawn of a new era in America? I have little doubt organizations such as ACORN - funded with YOUR taxes dollars - will have its minions scouring the Internet for "un-American" organizations such as Distressed Patriots for America.
Frankly, for the past eight plus years the progressive liberals have essentially controlled traditional media and effectively used the Internet to communicate. Now that the right side is gaining traction in Internet communication that is effectively pushing back, the left wants to stop it. Everyone, we are about to witness our federal government trample on our first amendment right of free speech simply because they don’t like what they are hearing. This should even cause many liberals serious concern about who they have in the White House.

Apparently the White House thinks otherwise.
The Internet is today’s most powerful tool for communicating, but we are bombarded daily with so much “content” that it is often difficult to see the forest from the trees. Distressed Patriots’ initiative and mission is to create Strength Through Unity and One Voice that our state and federal politicians cannot dismiss or ignore.
Distressed Patriots intends to keep pointing out the dangers of America’s current misguided politicians who are intent upon Orwellian social engineering that far exceeds Constitutional authority and power. They must be exposed and shown for what they are and frankly the watchdog media has not, is not, and likely will not do their job. Therefore, it is up to people like us to spread the word and keep spreading it.

I recently received this email from fellow parishioners in my Congregational church:
Dear Chris,
We are also devastated with what is going on in our country. Other than prayer, donations and calling our Congressmen, we are at a loss as how else we can help to restore our nation. Interestingly, our circle of close friends is becoming smaller. Like minds tend to gravitate to one another. We appreciate your emails and commitment. Hopefully, they will bear fruit.
I felt compelled to respond to them as follows:

I want to tell you we are not alone in our quest to wake up America to the growing danger and looming tragedy that Obama and an out-of-control liberal Congress is bringing to America. I too have many close friends across the USA that have said the same words you wrote with regard to friends parting ways based on political-social differences; always them never me. One dear friend in Jackson Hole, however, said to me that at cocktail parties over the 4th of July weekend several of those "friends" actually spoke to him again expressing emerging reservations about their choice for president.
I believe the Obama façade is beginning to crack as there is a definite turning of the tide according to several polling organizations. Buyer’s remorse is emerging across America. Obama’s Cap & Trade Act and Affordable Health Choices Act are hopefully now being seen for what they are; government intrusion and Big Brother dominance over individual freedoms all in the name of what Obama & Gang say is best for America. This may sound Orwellian, but there is more than enough history – including Obama’s if the media would honestly report on it – to show America exactly where he comes from, who he is and what his plans are to radically change America as we know it.
Rohm Emanuel’s statement, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste…it’s an opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before” is the Obama strategy for change, even if it means nationalization and socialism of a capitalistic society.
There is a crisis in the American health care system, but Obamacare and the ultimate “one payer system” – the federal government - is not the solution.

In his own words, Obama admits his and the democrat’s heath care goal is a public option that will ultimately eliminate private employer provided insurance. At a 2007 forum on health care, Obama, Barney Frank, and Jan Schakowsky are all on tape admitting a single public option will put out of business the private insurance industry.
Why is America buying into this? Because when buttered up with slick Obama oratory and glazed over with lies, it sounds as palatable as Herbert Hoover’s 1928 campaign slogan, “A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage.” Who wouldn’t want that?
In response to this video and others like it, the White House is fighting back by asking Americans to essentially turn in emailers, bloggers and websites that post “fishy” health insurance reform “disinformation.” ABC News.com in a blog article entitled GOP Senator: White House Encroaching on First Amendment quoted the White House director of new media Macon Phillips who said, “There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. This video shows Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, addressing one example of “disinformation” that supposedly makes it look like the President intends to "eliminate" private coverage, when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.
Well, that’s according to the White House. If you watched the videos above, you can decide for yourself what you heard Obama and Frank say about a one-payer system; if you’re not deaf and blind, make your own decision.
Obama’s near overwhelming blitzkrieg of legislation that is being passed and promoted without even being read is a strategy of selling an apathetic gullible public their political and empowering solution before they know what they bought into. If the federal government has taught us anything, it is its capacity to resist change that reduces power simply by ignoring the sovereignty of the people, especially when the watch dog media no longer bites. If bad legislation is passed, turning the clock back will be near impossible.
Can you believe all of this is being done by a man who is professionally unqualified – and perhaps even constitutionally unqualified – and now being publicly challenged by CNN’s Lou Dobbs of CNN to be the president of the United States of America?

“Alinsky's teachings influenced Barack Obama in his early career as a community organizer on the far South Side of Chicago. Working for Gerald Kellman's Developing Communities Project, Obama learned and taught Alinsky's methods for community organizing.
When describing power, Alinsky could be irreverent: "Rules for Radicals" begins with an unusual tribute: "From all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer."
Writer's Question: Does this establish Lucifer as Alinsky’s hero to be emulated? Isn’t it clear that Obama intends to recreate America in his own image?
Alinsky advises his followers that the poor have no power and that the real target is the middle class: "Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America's white middle class. That is where the power is. ... Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority."
In Rules for Radicals (his final work, published in 1971 one year before his death), he addressed the 1960s generation of radicals, outlining his views on organizing for mass power. In the first chapter, opening paragraph of the book Alinsky writes, "What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."
In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing in the prologue: “There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people.
Writer's Question: Does “Change We Can Believe In” offered up in slick sugar coated oratory sound familiar now? Does it start to make more sense?
They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families – more than seventy million people – whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."
Take heart and have faith that there are millions of people like “US” whose voices and keyboards are continually speaking out and spreading the word that the fabric of America is being torn apart, permitted by apathy and stupidity weaned in our liberal education system, supported by a compliant and liberally biased media, and mindless adoration and mass susceptibility to popular talk shows, such as The View and Oprah. What we are seeing today is a direct result of the dumbing down of America and the chipping away of our Constitutional foundation that “we the people” have allowed to go on over the past 50 to 60 years, all in the name of democracy according to liberal ideology.
For a country that still considers itself 78% Christian (see the 2007 Pew Survey results below), it is amazing that a man of Obama’s character, much less lack of any real professional achievement other than working with ACORN and community organizing, could be so exalted and attain such power in America in the 21st century. The fact an inexperienced junior US Senator who never held a “business job” of any sort much less a notable one, voted “present” most of the time in the Senate, spent significant time writing his own self promoting autobiography and then successfully ran for the presidency bespeaks to the decay of integrity within America; integrity for putting qualified people in the highest office in the land and the most powerful position in the world. Well, it might not be the most powerful when Obama is finished genuflecting to the world on his America apology tours.
And while in Turkey that he should say to the Muslim world that America is no longer a Christian country is reprehensible and bespeaks to his true religious – or lack of – beliefs. How does a country that saved the world twice in the 20th century forget their own history and the protagonists that created two world wars?
Let us not forget that we remain a Christian nation, which was founded by Puritans who founded the Congregational Church in America. According to Faith of Our Fathers,

“America was indeed founded by bible-believing Christians and based on Christian principles. When they founded this country, the Founding Fathers envisioned a government that would promote and encourage Christianity. All but two of the first 108 universities founded in America were Christian. This includes the first, Harvard, where the student handbook listed this as Rule #1:
“Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children to follow the moral principles of the Ten Commandment.”
In 1777, the Continental Congress voted to spend $300,000 to purchase bibles, which were to be distributed throughout the 13 colonies! And in 1782, the United States Congress declared:
“The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.”
Our founding fathers held strong beliefs in God that they were not afraid to voice, many of which have been found in their letters and writings. To wit,
Written in the front of Thomas Jefferson’s personal Bible:
"I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus. I have little doubt that our whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our creator."
In a letter dated April 21, 1803, Jefferson wrote this to Dr. Benjamin Rush (also a signer of the Declaration of Independence:
“My views...are the result of a life of inquiry and reflection, and very different from the anti-Christian system imputed to me by those who know nothing of my opinions. To the corruptions of Christianity I am, indeed, opposed; but not to the genuine precepts of Jesus himself. I am a Christian in the only sense in which He wished any one to be; sincerely attached to his doctrines in preference to all others.”
On April 18, 1775, a British soldier ordered John Hancock and others to “disperse in the name of George the Sovereign King of England.” Adams responded to him saying:
“We recognize no sovereign but God, and no king but Jesus!”
In an October 13, 1789 address to the military, John Hancock said:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
In a letter dated June 28, 1813 to Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock wrote:
"The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity."
In 1785, in Memorial and Remonstrance Against Religious Assessments, James Madison wrote:
"It is the duty of every man to render to the Creator such homage. Before any man can be considered as a member of Civil Society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe.”
"We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."
And let us not forget that every state constitution preamble references belief in God.

How did we get to where we are today? Complacency compounded by the failure of the American educational system to teach American history. Our children and young people have been indoctrinated to socialism in the name of democracy. We have allowed ourselves as a people to forget that we are a Constitutional Republic that should be governed under the Rule of Law rather than under the Rule of Radicals and a Chicago Thugocrocy.
I never expected to become a political activist; frankly I never thought I would have to become one in America against a sitting president. I fear for our country and the destiny I see for my children and grandchildren. Most shocking and appalling, I have one child, a brother and friends who voted for Obama and continue to believe in him. Sadly, many of them hold no real belief in God although all would probably classify themselves in the 78% of Americans who consider themselves Christian. This saddens me, but you can bring a horse to water, yet not make it drink. This weekend I had 5 young people in my home and during breakfast I made a comment to my daughter’s expressing her unhappiness in her current job in Manhattan. I said that she, and all of them, needed to understand that God has a purpose for them in their lives and that they should be open to finding both.
DON’T LOSE FAITH and DO NOT GIVE UP THE BATTLE.
Spread the Word, or as we say in Distressed Patriots for America, Spread the Distress. Perhaps you can help us by spreading our message and initiative to like minded people and fellow Christians urging them to join their voices under One Symbol of Resistance.
While Obama & Gang are being attacked on many fronts, they MUST be attacked by Americans who recognize that under Obama the Federal Government will not only be our “knows better” Big Brother, but will make life and death decisions if their healthcare reform act is passed despite the fact the polls now show a majority of Americans are not happy with it! In fact, every federal government employee - especially CONGRESS - should be forced to be covered under this program if they pass it. They won't, of course, because they set themselves above the people they serve.
How Will We Show Strength in Unity and Spread the Distress?
First, we will build one person at a time an Internet distribution network across Connecticut and America. We need to distribute and pass on to like minded friends, as well as friends who voted for Obama and are beginning to question his motives and tactics with growing "buyer's remorse", our message and information.
Second, our network members will join their voices together to demonstrate Strength through Unity.
We need to gather together millions of voices to demonstrate DAILY their distress with where our great nation is headed. There is Strength in Unity that cannot be ignored nor denied. As the American Revolution proved, binding common cause provided the strength and unity to create a new nation. Fortunately, we do not have to create a nation, but we the people must save the one we have.
Third, we will DAILY demonstrate our distress and dissatisfaction with America’s direction. STAY TUNED FOR HOW THIS WILL BE DONE.
