Blood & Gore: We Could All Benefit If It Was Public

I won’t argue the global warming issue as most people have pretty much made up their minds about it. Either the Honorable Albert Gore is the Green Global Prophet, or he’s full of hot carbon dioxide shilling questionable science for future personal financial gain. Or perhaps personal gain is just the fallout to saving the planet. But whatever the case, Honest Al’s set himself up to potentially reap huge profits from green project investing; especially when governments around the world ram green down the thoughts of citizens at any cost to jobs and economy. Spain has double digit unemployment partially as a result of every newly created green job killing two so called dirty jobs.
But don’t fret about Honest Al worrying about a real working man’s job when he’s leveraged his political know-how as a partner in the green investment bank Generation Investment Management(www.generationim.com) headquartered in the UK.
Generation Investment Management (GIM) was eestablished in April 2004 by David Blood who graduated with an MBA from Harvard in 1985 and immediately entered the financial arena as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. He eventually rose to be the company's co-chief executive of asset management in 1999. As Middle Americans have come to learn, there is no more fertile ground to learn the ins and outs of government connections, back scratching and largess than at Goldman Sachs which, according to New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, received billions of dollars in the 2008 TARP bailout paid. With your taxes and your share of the government debt, they went on to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses to 1,556 of its employees that included 212 employees each receiving $3 million in bonuses, 391 receiving $2 million bonuses, and 953 receiving $1 million in bonuses. But I digress as Blood was a Goldman Sachs alumnus by then.
If one was going to invest in sustainably green and environmentally focused projects, ventures and industries, what better partner could you have than a Vice President of the United States of America as a partner; particularly one who travels the world warning of impending global disaster if the world doesn’t turn green. Clearly, his message outweighs the cumulative carbon footprint comparable to a small coal fired power plant as he jets around in private aircraft. And what better timing than today with an American president doing a global American apology gig and pushing tax & crap legislation that will support job killing, economy damaging green initiatives.
I’m not the only one who looks askance at Honest Al’s carbon polluting jet setting green agenda that could potentially lead to loading his personal bank account with lots of GREEN at the expense of consumers and taxpayers. There are many commentators and think-tank policy analysts that have suggested Honest Al has created a conflict of interest by working with GIM and simultaneously being the spokesperson for action on global warming.
