Your Government is Giving Away to Everyone Free Cell Phones & Service
The US cell company is a wholly owned foreign subsidiary of a Mexican Corporation.

In another classic example of the progressive liberal’s wealth redistribution agenda for America, your tax dollars are now being used to provide a free cellular phone and 70 free airtime minutes a month to everyone in America who participates in a state or federal welfare program.
This is not a joke. Apparently, the program is being referred to as the ObamaPhone and is available to anyone on welfare.
A person’s eligibility requirement to receive this new piece of the US Taxpayer’s “wealth redistribution pie” requires participation in a state or Federal support program, or by meeting the Income Poverty Guidelines as defined by the U.S. Government. I guess we can thank God the service is limited to one person per household, although as rampant fraud by ACORN and in Medicaid has shown, the government’s abysmal capacity to identify and eliminate it, much less prosecute it as a deterrent.
According to the Lifeline Service web site (https://www.safelinkwireless.com/EnrollmentPublic/Home.aspx), “Lifeline Assistance is part of a program that was created by the government to provide discounted or free telephone service to income-eligible consumers. To help bring you this important benefit, SafeLink Wireless is proud to offer Lifeline Service. Through our Lifeline Service you will receive FREE cellular service, a FREE cell phone, and FREE Minutes every month! SafeLink Wireless Service does not cost anything – there are no contracts, no recurring fees and no monthly charges.
Any Minutes you do not use will roll-over. Features such as caller ID, call waiting and voicemail are all also included with your service. If you need additional Minutes, you can buy TracFone Airtime Cards at any TracFone retailer Walmart, Walgreens, Family Dollar, etc). SafeLink Airtime Cards will be available soon (probably through ACORN: writer’s comment).
Your exact benefits, including the number of free Minutes you will receive, depend on the state you live in. Please enter your ZIP code to get the details for your state.
The process to qualify for Lifeline Service depends on the State you live in. In general, you may qualify if...
You already participate in other State or Federal assistance program such as Federal Public Housing Assistance, Food Stamps and Medicaid.
OR
Your total household income is at or below 135% of the poverty guidelines set by your State and/or the Federal Government.
AND
No one in your household currently receives Lifeline Service through another phone carrier.
You have a valid United States Postal Address. In order for us to ship you your free phone you must live at a residence that can receive mail from the US Post Office. Sorry, but P.O. Boxes cannot be accepted. (Writer’s question: Does this include US prisons?)
In addition to meeting the guidelines above you will also be required to provide proof of your participation in an assistance program, or proof of your income level.”
Adding insult to injury and rubbing salt into yet another taxpayer wound, TracFone Wireless, the company providing this service at the tax payer’s expense, is a US based wholly owned subsidiary of a Mexican telephone company. According to Reuters,
“TracFone Wireless is a subsidiary of América Móvil S.A.B. de C.V. América Móvil is the fourth largest cell phone company in the world and the largest in all of the Americas. America Movil is a provider of wireless communications services in Latin America. As of December 31, 2008, it had 182.7 million subscribers in 17 countries. Through Radiomovil Dipsa, S.A. de C.V., which operates under the name Telcel, the Company, provides mobile telecommunications service in all nine regions in Mexico. As of December 31, 2008, Telcel had 56.4 million subscribers in Mexico. The Company operates in Brazil through its subsidiaries, Claro S.A. and Americel S.A. (Americel), under the unified brand name Claro. Its network covers the main cities in Brazil, including Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The Company provides wireless services in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile. America Movil provides wireless services in Colombia under the Comcel brand. It also provides fixed-line and wireless services in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama. In August 2008, the Company acquired 100% interest in Estesa Holding Corp.”
What’s next? Free gasoline? Free cigarettes? Free PCs? Free TVs? Free inoculation shots for pets? Free soap and toilet paper? Actually, you can probably get soap and toilet paper with food stamps.
Remember what Margaret Thatcher said:
"Socialism is fine until you run out of other people’s money."
Well this is a prime example of how our government is leading us into socialism through redistribution of wealth. Don’t be surprised if ACORN becomes a marketer for this plan.
